Install the GazeSight Firefox extension, then run npx gazesight setup. Pin the extension to your toolbar so you can select and reauthorize tabs quickly.

From your project directory, run npx gazesight setup. It generates a local pairing token and configures your coding agent's MCP connection to GazeSight.

Click the GazeSight icon in the toolbar (or use the extension's selection shortcut) on the tab you want your agent to see. Reauthorizing is always required when you navigate to a different origin. Enable Continuous Access to skip it for same-origin reloads, navigation and responsive previews.

Background Capture is off by default. Enabling it requests the optional <all_urls> permission so your authorized tab stays capturable even outside localhost and while it isn't the active tab — GazeSight still restricts every operation to that one authorized tab. It's independent from Continuous Access, though both can share the same permission.

Open the GazeSight popup on your authorized tab and use the manual download action. It requests the optional downloads permission the first time, then saves a PNG straight to your device.

Agent Guidance is short, local guidance GazeSight includes in the MCP connection so your coding agent knows how to use visual tools well, plus an optional Visual Fidelity Mode for close visual-reproduction tasks. It never overrides your own instructions to the agent. Changing either setting takes effect on your agent's next MCP reconnect.

No. GazeSight does not operate a cloud capture backend. Captures go from your browser to your local MCP runtime and then to the coding agent you configure.

An optional setting that keeps your selected tab authorized across reloads, same-origin navigation and responsive previews, so you don't have to click the extension again each time. It uses the same optional permission as Background Capture. Navigating to a different origin still always requires reauthorizing.
